Privacy Policy
Lil Baby ("Lil Baby", "we", "us", "our") provides a pregnancy, cycle and doctor-care app for both partners (the "App"), and the website at lilbaby.app (the "Site"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the App and the Site together.
Lil Baby deals with reproductive and health information, which is sensitive by nature. We only collect what the App needs to work, we never sell it, and we tell you here exactly where it goes.
1. Who this applies to
The App is intended for adults and is not directed at children. Sign-up requires a minimum age of 13, and pregnancy/fertility tracking is intended for users capable of consenting to health data processing under the law of their country. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and we delete any such data if we become aware of it.
2. What we collect
Account information — email or phone number, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), and gender (used only to select the female/male experience described on our home page).
Onboarding & health answers — everything you answer in the funnel: date of birth, height, weight, relationship status, sleep/activity/stress/lifestyle habits, menstrual cycle details (last period date, cycle length, flow, symptoms), pregnancy status and history, fertility/conception details, diagnosed medical conditions, medications, and — where relevant to your selected goal — discharge, contraception, sexual health, or men's-health answers. Location — used only when you search for nearby doctors or trigger the emergency alert, to find nearby facilities and share your location with your linked partner during an emergency. We do not track your location in the background.
Camera & photos — images you choose to submit for the AI scan feature (test strips, discharge, skin changes, meals) or as medical reports/sonography images, and any photos you attach to a doctor consultation.
Uploaded documents — reports, prescriptions and scan images you upload, stored against your account and tagged to your pregnancy week where applicable.
Appointments & consultations — bookings, slot times, and video-consultation session metadata.
Partner-linking data — if you link accounts with a partner using the 6-character code, the categories of data you choose to share (cycle, pregnancy, symptoms, appointments, emergency) become visible to that linked account. You control what's shared, and can change or revoke it at any time from the Partner screen.
Website analytics — the marketing site at lilbaby.app (not the App) uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand traffic and improve the site. These do not run inside the App and never see your health data.
3. How we use it
- To create and secure your account, and authenticate you
- To calculate cycle phase, fertile window, ovulation day, pregnancy week, due date, and the personalised day-by-day plan
- To compute wellbeing/fertility scores and risk flags, and suggest the right kind of doctor
- To show your linked partner the categories of information you've chosen to share
- To connect you with nearby doctors, manage bookings, and store your reports against your profile
- To respond to an emergency alert you trigger — sharing your location and situation with your linked partner and listing nearby hospitals
- To provide the AI-scan reading you request
- To respond to support requests you send us
We do not use your health data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
4. Who we share it with
- Your linked partner — only the categories you explicitly enable, only after both accounts link with the shared code.
- Doctors you book with — your relevant profile and reports, so far as needed for the consultation you book.
- Infrastructure providers — our hosting provider and database run our servers; they process data on our behalf under contract and don't use it for their own purposes.
- Video consultations — when you join a video consult, the call is hosted by Jitsi, a third-party video service; see their own privacy terms for how the call itself is handled.
- Law enforcement or authorities — only where required by law, or to protect someone's safety in a genuine emergency.
We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Where your data lives, and how it's protected
Data is stored in our own MongoDB database on a server we control. All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Access to the production database is restricted to the people operating the service.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access & correction — edit most of your profile directly in the App (Profile screen), or ask us at[email protected].
- Sharing controls — change what your linked partner can see at any time, or unlink entirely, from the Partner screen.
- Deletion — request full deletion of your account and data at any time — see ouraccount deletion page.
- Portability & grievances — write to our Grievance Officer (Section 8) for anything not resolved above.
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, so the App can keep computing your plan accurately. If you request deletion, we remove your account data and uploaded files within 30 days, except where we're required to keep limited records for legal or security reasons (e.g. abuse prevention).

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
